There are around 15 phone manufacturers in India, and each of them offers a minimum of 10 phones. This makes a total of 150 choices for the consumer at any point of time. And we're not even counting the numerous smaller brands available. These are a few of our top picks for regular mobile phones at different price points. The list will be updated as and when required.

1 LG KP 106b (Rs 2k) - This super-affordable phone from LG boasts of one of the best battery backup.

2 Motorola W220s (Rs 2.3k) - A cool flip open design, & illuminated icons on the surface.

3 Sony Ericsson W200i (Rs 4k) - A decent buy if you're looking for a Walkman phone with a camera.

4 Nokia 6300 (Rs 7k) - One of the slimmest phones around, this is a hot seller amongst the ladies.

5 Nokia 5220 (Rs 7.5k) - supports cards upto 8GB, enough to be your phone cum music player.

6 LG KF510 (Rs 10.5k) - USP is its eye–catching touch reactive lighting keypad.

7 Motorola ZN5 (Rs 16k) - When Kodak and Motorola combine, you get a really great camphone.

8 Samsung Soul (Rs 18k) - A 3G supporting phone and one of the newest competitors in the 5MP camera race.

9 Sony Ericsson W980i (Rs 21k) - 8GB internal memory & a futuristic design.

10 Sony Ericsson K810i (Rs 11k) - The K790i on a crash diet with 3G in the mix.

Samsung Pixon
The Pixon 8800 a.k.a the M8800 will be Samsung's second 8 megapixel phone after the Innov8. But this one has a full touchscreen along with 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi and a 3.5mm jack. Approx
Rs 40,000.
