In the past, many Hollywood directors have successfully brought famous game
titles onto the silver screen. Well, the latest game to have grabbed attention
of these directors is Warcraft. Even since I caught wind of this, the only thing
I'm bothered about is-who will enact Crystal Maiden-my favorite character from
that series. As of now, the cast has not been decided, but I have my personal
preferences for each character. I hope that Hollywood is listening.
Saviours
Omni Knight – Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt really pulled off the movie Troy well, didn't he? With his blonde
hair and his physique, he seems to be just perfect for the role of Omni Knight.
I am sure only he would be able to do justice to the character. Hmm, all the
ladies already seem to be agreeing on that.
Furion – Tom Hanks
Furion is an elderly prophet in the game. Tom Hanks-remember the guy whom we
all loved in the movie 'Cast Away'? That's him. He is my personal preference for
Furion. Somehow, Furion's powers, intelligence and aura seem to match with that
of Tom Hanks.Not to mention that they are both 'elderly'.
Sniper – John Rhys Davies
A brilliant actor. His role in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy made him a tough
dwarf (Gimli) and if he repeats his powerful dwarf act as Sniper that'll be
really great. Sniper's rifle will suite him well-after all he has got used to
holding a weapon like the hammer he used in LOTR.
Crystal Maiden – Monet Mazur
Crystal maiden is the blonde bombshell with limited smarts! Now I'm not
saying that Blondes are dumb, but Monet with her blonde hair and icy looks will
be the deadly combo of beauty and brains well-suited for the character. I
imagine that she'll look awesome while fighting the dark side with her ice wand.
Slayer – Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is the perfect game actor- she's played Lara Croft to
perfection. She was sizzling even while completely animated in Beowulf. Slayer
is another hero in the game with queen-like looks and well-chiseled features.
Angelina will be the perfect Slayer-what say?
DARK Side
Axe – Will Smith
Axe is the Troll emperor in the game and one of the strongest characters.
The only person whom I can imagine enacting Axe is Will Smith. After 'I am
Legend', there's no doubt in my mind that Smith will manage to play AXE
oh-so-easily.
Soul Keeper/Anti Mage - Johnny Depp
Well, after lots of arguments, we finally zeroed in on Johnny Depp as the
Anti Mage who was initially on sentinel's side and turns into Soul Keeper of the
dark side after he gets banished. Johnny Depp looks great with make up (think
Pirates of the Caribbean) and he'll probably look convincing in this role.
Pudge – Mike Myers
Pudge can be referred to as the dumb comedian of doom. Mike Myers will be
perfect if he can weave in a little bit of Austin Powers' character into Pudge.
Although Danny Devito can be considered too; he was great as Penguin in Batman.
Can't zero-in on one; either will do.
Lycanthrophe – Jamie Foxx
Lycanthrope is the powerful character who has wolves at his command and he
can also turn into one. He has an evil aura around him and Jammie Foxx's strong
features will compliment this character. Of course, under all that make up,
you'll never be able to see Jamie Foxx's real face.
Death knight – Colin Farell
Death Knight, the second leader of dark side who runs the empire of undead,
rides a dead bull, and has ghostly looks.This role seems to be written with
Colin Farell in mind. Colin who enacted Bulls Eye in the movie Daredevil is
inch-perfect as Death Knight.
Lanaya – Scarlett Johansson
Lanaya's character is all about attitude. Lanaya-the dark queen with a jaw line
similar to that of Scarlett's. Yes, yes we know Scarlett's glamorous image is
really difficult to be wiped out from our brains-but we should give this girl a
chance. After all she has amazing acting prowess, moreover we would want to see
her in a negetive role.
