Transferring video files
1Download the free software Videora from http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod and install it on your PC.
2 Use the software to convert any video file you have to a compatible iPod video file.
3 Now use iTunes to transfer music files to the iPod (just like you do with music files).

Ditch iTunes
1Grumbling about how iTunes is so clunky? Many users have ditched it completely in favor of alternatives.
2 Get Yamipod from http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home
3 Get Floola from http://www.floola.com/modules/wiwimod/ Play the drums, guitar, and piano

1To install third-party software you need jailbreak. Download jailbreak from http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/112jb.html and install. (Note that Installing jailbreak will void your warranty).
2 Connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Add 'ipodtouchfans.com' to your Installer.
Click on the Installer icon, click on the sources icon at the bottom, click Edit and then add the following URLs: http://www.touchrepo.com/repo.xml for drums ,
http://modmyifone.com/installer.xml for guitar and piano.Click on OK.
3 All three will appear under the 'Toys' section of the installer. Install them and you're all set.

MegaPhone
If you're a MAC user, the MegaPhone app for the iPhone and iPod Touch allows you to use the iPod as an external hard drive. You can easily transfer files to and fro, play the iPod's music on the Mac, use the iPod for storage, and access Notes. You can also convert text files, rich text files, PDF files, Word files, and HTML files into notes to view on your iPhone and iPod. Download the free demo from http://www.ecamm.com/ mac/megaphoneThe full version costs $19.95.

More cool stuff
www.sitehoppin.com offers a great plugin for Safari on the Touch. You can find new and interesting websites without searching or typing anything.
With the iPod Touch, you can remotely control a PC using Wi-Fi. Just get yourself the TouchPad from http://www.touchpadpro.com/ Interested in having an offline version of Wikipedia on your iPod Touch? Head over to http://collison.ie/wikipedia-iphone/. It occupies about 2 GB space, but worth it for information junkies.
Go to http://iphone.texterity.com/magazines/ to read magazines on your iPod Touch and iPhone.
You can play SNES games (like Contra and Mario) on your iPod Touch. Just download the snes4iphone application from the ZodTTD forums at http://zodttd.com/forum/index.php

Top tips
• Double clicking the home button in any application will bring up the music controls
• Keep the home button pressed for 5 seconds to completely close all running applications
• Hold down a letter on the keyboard to see the symbol associated with that letter
• While typing, pressing spacebar twice will insert a full stop and a space
• If you're looking at mail, slide your finger from left to right and the delete button will appear.

Many of the tips and tricks on this page offer new functionality that was never intended for your iPod Touch. You're doing this at your own risk. Remember that installing Jailbreak for the iPod Touch will also void your warranty.
