This will be a luxury cruise liner like no other. Part of the Royal Caribbean
International cruise line (based in Florida), the Oasis of the Seas will set the
company back by about US$ 1.24 billion when completed in late 2009. Just to give
you an idea of how large the largest cruise ship in the world really is; it is
powered by a total of eight V12 engines capable of 17,500hp each, can
comfortably accomodate over 6000 people, and is 16 decks high. It has seven
dictinct neighbourhoods with all the features and amenities you would find in a
small city. Seven distinct themed areas that it would have include: Central
Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea
Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone. A central park will
be open to the sky with lots of greenery, variety of restaurants, bars, shops,
salons, museum, cinemas, amphitheatre, four pools, sports zones, fitness centres
and more. If any of this interests you, you can head over to their website and
register for the first cruise.
