From a design perspective, the aesthetics of Jabra's latest headsets, the BT
5010 and the BT 5020, speaks for themselves. The BT 5020 fits comfortably at the
back of your ear, while the BT 5010 is the on-ear type. The 5010 also has an
extendable slider for the microphone. You can use the slide action to answer and
end a call–plus it brings the mic closer to your mouth, enhancing clarity in
noisy conditions.
The pairing process with both of them was really simple and took under a
minute. Both the headsets can be paired to two devices at the same time, so if
you have two cell phones, you can answer calls from both, without having to
connect it to the phone first.
An added advantage is the vibration function. The headsets can be set to
indicate an incoming call by giving a beep or by vibrating. This is useful if
you don't want a ringtone to play in your ear or if you have placed the headset
on a table and the phone is on silent mode. As far as the sound quality is
concerned, both were top notch. The behind-the-ear design of the 5020 was a bit
more comfortable than the 5010 for long durations, and also more discreet. Both
are also easily switchable from left ear to right ear.
Finally, both the BT 5010 and BT 5020 impress with their attractive and
lightweight design, excellent call quality, and great battery backup in a very
small size.
