X FX's GeForce 8800 Ultra is the flagship graphics card from NVIDIA. It has all the power to make a gamer go gaga over it. With 768 MB of DDR3 memory running at 2.16 Ghz and a core clock speed of 612 MHz, it has all the ingredients it takes to be one of the fastest consumer-level graphics cards in the market. As far as connectivity goes, you get dual DVI out, HDTV capability, SLI capability and HDCP. But, the best part about this card is the sleek design, which doesn't look as bulky as the 8800 GTX. Using Nvidia's SLI, you can slap two of these into a compatible motherboard for really monstrous frame rates.
Even with just one card, performance figures were amazing–we got 11804 in 3D Mark06, higher than most other cards. Even with graphically intensive games like 'Company of Heroes', we got an average of 160 fps at 1280x1024 resolution and with maximum settings. With BioShock we managed 54 fps with everything turned up to maximum. If you need something that's going to provide cutting-edge performance for a long time, it's definitely worth the asking price.
