Right at the outset, let me say that the ROKR Z6 is a stunning phone; by
looks, design, and features. An excellent slider mechanism, a keypad that is an
absolute joy to use and a great screen with vibrant colors that doesn't fade
under bright sunlight. The old, slow interface that plagued older Motorola's is
history!
This one is powered by Linux, so it is actually a true-blue smartphone. The
pictures taken with the 2 megapixel camera were quite good and so was the video
recording. The sound quality of the phone was excellent; with both voice calls
and music playback. The coolest part about the phone was its compatibility
feature with Windows Media Player 11. Simply connect the phone and browse your
playlist in Windows media player. It takes under 5 seconds to transfer one song
to your phone. Isn't that impressive? The phone lasted over 2 days on a single
charge with average usage
(45 minutes of talk time, 30 minutes of camera usage, 3 hours of music playback
and 1 hour of playing games and running applications), which is quite
satisfactory.

Sadly, the phone lacks FM radio which would have been a welcome addition to
the phone. Another weird thing about the phone is that the
SIM card slot is directly under the memory card slot, inside the battery
compartment. Removing the SIM card is an exercise in futility. Not only do you
have to remove both the battery and the memory card, you'll need something sharp
to pry out the SIM.
Its not much of an issue unless you need to switch SIM cards often. Overall,
I have no hesitation is saying that the ROKR Z6 is one of the best phones from
Motorola today (that is until I see the new RAZR of course). Buy it for it's
excellent interface and solid construction.
