The Nokia 5320 XpressMusic looks promising in its black and red exterior, but
the glossy finish made it feel like a toy at times. The basic design as well as
the feature set is borrowed over from its predecessor; you will find minute
changes in the design and features (some of which are not even worth
mentioning), but the hot key for music on the top right is a useful addition.
The 5230 boasts of a Series 60 interface-which endows it with true smartphone
functionality.

Music quality is good, the shortcut keys and multimedia keys on the front and
the left edge make accessing music simpler. The 2 MP camera with dual LED flash
does a good job in bright and dark ambience, but all the images that we clicked
in bright light had a yellow hue. The sound reproduction via the speakers and
the headset is loud and clear.

Verdict

Things that we didn't like in the phone are: absence of lens cover,
uncomfortable bundled headphones, and poor performance of the video player. Our
final verdict about the device? Certainly an option to look out for if you are
looking for a music phone, but for the same price or lesser you can also get
yourself a Sony Ericsson Walkman or a Nokia N73 Music edition, both of
which offer performance and good value for money.
