The market is flooded with budget phones and the latest budget phone to have
hit the market is the Haier G111. Unlike most of the other budget phones which
feel flimsier, this one feels really great in hands.
The G111 has got professional looks; it is a candybar, comes clad in a
completely black body which sports a matte finish.
The phone has a simple Java based UI that is easy to use. This budget phone
boasts of several features; it has got Bluetooth, FM with alarm and recording
functionality, and even includes a camera. Though the camera is not even a VGA;
it is a 100k camera which is more or less useless as it can click shots with CIF
resolution ( 352 x 288 pixels) at the max. This device has got expandable
memory; you can slot in upto a 2 GB card.
I only have grudges against the navigation ring; I had to press it really
hard to navigate through the menu or get the intended task done. Everything else
was fine with this device. The screen is quite bright and vibrant, the sound
output is great and its loudspeaker is one of the loudest.

Verdict
 |
It comes with a 1000 mAh battery which lasted for over 2 days after a full
charge. Overall, the kind of feature set that this budget phone offers for a
price of just Rs 3,499 gives it an edge over rest of its competitors, but a
better camera and navigation ring would have made it all the more desirable.
