There aren't many projectors that can effectively straddle different
segments. To be an effective boardroom or classroom projector and yet
immediately switch over to playing high-def movies in widescreen is what the
Sharp PG-F320W does.
With a native resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio) and a
rated brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens, it offers greater flexibility than many
others in the market. It has multiple video inputs, including the standard VGA,
S-video, Component, Composite, and DVI digital. From a PC, it can tackle 1600 x
1200 resolution easily. And using a simple HDMI to DVI plug, we could connect an
upscaling DVD player, the WD TV HD media player (reviewed in LD Apr 09) and an
XBox 360 for jitter-free high-def video. And since it's powered by Texas
Instruments' DLP technology, the colors are great with minimal color bleed.

An IR remote is supplied as is networking ability with RJ-45 and USB. So
where you can now get a projector with 800 x 600 pixels resolution and 2000 ANSI
lumens for around Rs 45k, does it really make sense to spend Rs 99k on this?
Well, if the ability to project images in a brightly lit environment is
important, then yes. And 800 x 600 pixels will also have a much more visible
pixel structure on the projected image. Overall, a good buy, but would have been
phenomenal had it been priced around Rs 70k.
